Since 2001 Dave Kawada has been broadcasting high school sports in Honolulu covering ILH, OIA, and HHSAA State Tournaments.  He has also covered local college sports for The University of Hawaii, Chaminade University BYU-Hawaii men;s basketball and women’s volleyball, the EA Sports Maui Invitational Men’s Basketball Tournament, and the Rainbow Classic.  Currently Dave is the play by play voice for University of Hawaii Women’s Basketball and Chaminade Women’s Volleyball.

In 2007 Kawada produced and hosted the “Starting Lineup”, a radio talk show on KORL AM-1180.  This was followed with serving as host of “The St. Louis Crusader Hour”, and producing the “Multi-Sport and Fitness Show”.

In 2008 Dave served as producer and co-host of “The Starcomm Prep Beat”, a sports talk show focusing on high school sports, on AM 1500 The Team in Honolulu.  The show continued on to ESPN 1420 AM in 2009.  Also that year Dave started Kawada Productions and was the broadcast rights holder for the private school Interscholastic League of Honolulu, or ILH for that year.

From 2015-18 Dave hosted the Straub Health and Wellness Radio Show on ESPN 1420 which focused on general health and wellness tips and lifestyle activities, along with sports and recreation topics.

Starting on February 7, 2019, the new Dave and Tiff Radio Show will air weekly Thursday mornings, 7:00a – 8:00a, on CBS Sports Radio, on AM 1500 in Honolulu, HI.  Engage in a creative and amusing perspective of the sports talk genre that will make our community part of the show.  Featuring creative segments such as “Street Cred”, audience polls, and “Town Hall Meetings”,  this show will go directly into the community.  It will be fun, funny, and great for dealing with the morning traffic.
