Since 2001 Dave Kawada has been broadcasting high school sports in Honolulu covering ILH, OIA, and HHSAA State Tournaments.  He has also covered local college sports for Chaminade University men’s basketball and BYU-Hawaii men;s basketball and women’s volleyball, the EA Sports Maui Invitational Men’s Basketball Tournament, and the Rainbow Classic.

In 2007 Kawada produced and hosted the “Starting Lineup”, a radio talk show on KORL AM-1180.  This was followed with serving as host of “The St. Louis Crusader Hour”, and producing the “Multi-Sport and Fitness Show”.

In 2008 Dave served as producer and co-host of “The Starcomm Prep Beat”, a sports talk show focusing on high school sports, on AM 1500 The Team in Honolulu.  The show continued on to ESPN 1420 AM in 2009.  Also that year Dave started Kawada Productions and was the broadcast rights holder for the private school Interscholastic League of Honolulu, or ILH for that year.

Kawada Productions also produces short promo videos.

Currently Dave produces and hosts “The Straub Health and Wellness Show”, a weekly feature show on ESPN 1420 AM and www.espn1420am.com, along with serving as the play-by-play voice of the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Basketball Team.  He also continues his duties broadcasting high school games on NBC Sports Radio on AM 1500 and MC’ing events throughout the year.
